[ Application Now Open ] 2026 K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC)
Overview : The K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC) is a government-backed program by Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups, designed to support outstanding global startups in entering, settling, and growing in the Korean market. Top-ranked startups receive prize money, participation grants, office space, visa support, and direct access to Korean corporates and investors.
Program Benefits
- Participation Grants : 40 teams receive KRW 4 million per entry (×2) to cover airfare and accommodation for visits to Korea.
- Prize Money : Top 20 teams receive prize money ranging from KRW 5 million to KRW 100 million at the KSGC Demo Day.
- Growth Grants : Top 8 teams receive additional commercialization grants of up to KRW 50 million after Phase 3.
- Networking : Business partner matching, 1-on-1 mentoring, and IR pitching opportunities with Korean accelerators, corporates, and investors.
- Infrastructure : Free office space provided in Korea (Pangyo & Gangnam) throughout all phases.
- Visa Support : Startup Preparation Visa (D-10-2) in Phase 2 and Technology Startup Visa (D-8-4) in
Phase 3. - Company Incorporation : Administrative support for establishing a legal entity in Korea.
Eligibility & Selection
- Stage: Pre-startups or startups incorporated within 7 years (up to 10 years for emerging industry sectors). The representative (CEO) must be a non-Korean national.
- Focus: Must have a clear objective to enter, settle, and grow in the Korean market.
- Selection: Approximately 100 teams selected (80 Main Track + 20 International Student Track). Evaluation based on problem recognition, feasibility, Korea market entry plan, and team competency.
1. Main Track - Application Period Opens May 6, 2026 – Closes June 17, 2026 (15:00 KST)
2. International Student Track - Application Period Opens July 13 – August 14, 2026 (15:00 KST)
